What we do with your information.
Short version: we keep what you send us so that we can reply to you, and we do not share it or sell it.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site. That is your name, your email address, and anything else you choose to write, including a phone number if you give one.
We do not use advertising trackers on this website and we do not build a profile of you.
Why we keep it
So that a volunteer can reply to you, and so that we can contact you about the thing you wrote to us about. Nothing else.
Who can see it
The small number of volunteers who handle enquiries for the society. We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to other organisations.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages while they are useful and delete them when they are not. If you ask us to delete your details we will do it and confirm that it is done.
Photographs at our events
We do not photograph people who are receiving langar, hampers or any other help. Where we take photographs at a public gathering we will say so at the event, and if you would rather not be in them, tell any volunteer and that is the end of it.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
Asking us about your information
Write to us at info@nishkamsevasociety.ca and tell us what you want to see, correct or delete. We will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
